Multi-point grounding failure of the Iron Core The presence of metal foreign objects at the bottom of the fuel tank is one of the main reasons for the multi-point grounding of the distribution transformer iron core.Most of these foreign materials are left in the manufacturing or overhaul process.First,the granular(slag)deposits are attached to the insulation between the iron core silicon steel sheet and the structural member to form a metallic multi-point connection;second,there is a large volume of metal foreign materials(welding rod heads).,swarf,wire rope breakage,etc.)lap joint between the iron core silicon steel sheet and the structural member bridged into the channel;third,the iron wire or iron sheet falls between the lower yoke surface of the iron core and the bottom of the box,and is not deposited on the bottom of the fuel tank when no electricity is charged.
